UMP Student Residence

There are a number of on- and off-campus housing options available to undergraduate and graduate students at UMP.
After starting out in a first-tier residence (full catering), you will typically stay in a third-tier residence (semi-autonomous self-catering), followed by a second-tier residence (senior catering or self-catering).
While each house has its own unique history and customs, they all contribute to making your stay one to remember. Because UMP places a high value on safety, all residences have strict access controls and are primarily monitored by closed-circuit television cameras.
Students with disabilities can choose from a wide range of housing options. The Disability Service and the Student Accommodation Office will take care of your specific requirements if you contact them.

How to Apply for UMP Student Housing
There are residence application forms available at both the University of Mpumalanga (UMP) admissions office and online by clicking on the text link below;

Follow the instructions after entering the necessary data.
Then click Apply.

University of Mpumalanga UMP Private Accommodation

Any student accepted to UMP who has not yet been admitted to the university residences is provided with a list of accredited private lodging options so that they can get in touch with them.
The university has a policy regarding the accreditation of private housing facilities. The UMP Private Accommodation Accreditation Committee continuously accredits private lodging facilities within a 60-kilometer radius of the university. As part of the minimum accreditation requirements, all accredited private accommodations must provide transportation for students.
A list of approved private housing can be found on both the university website and the Student Housing office.
