CUT Online application requirements 2024-2025

The general admission/application requirements for CUT are as follows.

• You must have an email address to complete the application.
• South African applicants will be required to provide identification. Foreign applicants must provide the numbers on their passports.
• Once you have received your CUT student number, you must pay the application fee.
• Check that your documents have been scanned according to the guidelines.
  If you meet the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification, you will be admitted to CUT.
• If you do not meet these requirements, you should consider alternative qualifications or, if you qualify, an extended program that allows you to enroll in a limited number of modules during your first year.
• Students who graduated from the ACE School of Tomorrow may be ineligible for admission to CUT.
• There are a limited number of available spots for some CUT qualifications. Meeting a qualification’s general and/or specific admission requirements does not guarantee you a place for the 2024 academic year.

NOTES IMPORTANT
Before applying to the Central University of Technology, CUT, there are several factors to consider:

• Closing Dates: When do the CUT Applications close? Simply click here.
• Postal Service vs. Courier: Some universities accept online applications, whereas others only accept hard copies. Some businesses offer both. Consider this before starting the application process.
• Scores of Examinees: Your Grade 11 results are extremely important to your application. Keep your Matric June results handy because some universities will accept them!
• Assistance with finances: If your family’s income is below a certain level, you may be eligible. This will be a separate form, and you must have your parent’s or guardian’s pay stub as proof.
• Current Year Activity: If you are in Matric, the university will need your school grades and school activity information. If you took, you will have to travel.

  • Proof of residence
  • The most recent payslip NEVER sends the original documents.
• Check that the following information is correct: Fill out your application form completely before submitting it online. Fill out a hard copy first in pencil, then in blue or black pen.
• Application Fee Repayment: Check the amount required, then EFT or pay it at the bank. Never, ever, ever post it. Send payment proof to the university if it is required.
• The Declaration of Independence is signed: Examine the form carefully to ensure that all of your information is true and correct. Both you and your parent/guardian must sign it.
• Acceptance: Your acceptance will be communicated to you via email or letter. Continue to put in the effort and make the minimum initial payment by the due date.
• NBT Test (with 3 Years Validity): Although not all universities require it, writing an NBT test is always recommended.
