The Free State Central University of Technology (CUT) is a South African university located in Bloemfontein, the state capital. The “Technikon Free State” was established in 1981. As part of the South African government’s new millennium reform of tertiary education, it was elevated to the status of a university of technology.
CUT is the most prestigious higher education institution in the heart of South Africa. The university has two campuses, one in Bloemfontein, South Africa’s judicial capital, and one in Welkom, in the Free State’s goldfields.
