The DUT General Admission/Application Requirements are listed below.

You must have an email address in order to finish the application.
Applicants from South Africa will require an identification number. Passport numbers will be required from foreign applicants.
After receiving your student number from DUT, you are required to pay the application fee.
Verify that the scanned documents adhere to the guidelines.
If you meet the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification, you will be admitted to DUT.
Alternate qualifications or, if you qualify, an extended program that allows you to register for limited modules in your first year should be considered if you do not meet these requirements.
DUT may not be able to accept graduates of the ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) School of Tomorrow.
There are a limited number of seats available for certain DUT qualifications. A qualification’s general and/or specific admission requirements do not guarantee admission for the 2024 academic year.

IMPORTANT NOTES

There are a few things you should know about Durban University of Technology before applying:

Dates of End: Do you know the closing date for DUT applications? Just go here.
Online versus postal/courier: Online applications are accepted by some universities, while paper applications are not. Some businesses offer both. When beginning the application process, keep this in mind.
Scores of Examinees: Your application depends heavily on your 11th-grade grades. Keep in mind that some universities will accept your June Matric results!
Assistance with finances: If your family’s income is below a certain threshold, you might be eligible. You will need to have your parent’s or guardian’s paystub on hand as proof because this will be a separate form.
Activity for the Present Year: The university will require your school grades and information about your activities if you are in Matric. They will want to know where you went and what you did if you took a break.
Documents to Back Up: You will need:
- Certified copy of your ID
- Parent’s/guardian’s ID
- Exam results
- Proof of residence
- The most recent payslip NEVER sends the original documents.

Verify that every one of the following information is correct: Before submitting your application online, take your time and fill it out completely. First, use a pencil to fill out a paper copy, then use a blue or black pen.
Fees for the Application: After confirming the required sum, either pay it via EFT or at the bank. It should never be posted. Send the required proof of payment to the university.
The act of ratifying the Declaration of Independence: Check the information on the form to make sure it’s all accurate. Both you and your parent or guardian must sign it.
Acceptance: Your acceptance will be communicated to you via email or letter. Make the minimum initial payment by the due date and keep working hard.

NBT Test: Valid for three years. Although not all universities require you to take an NBT test, it is always recommended.
