You’ve made the decision to attend Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) to study. The APS calculation is one thing you should be aware of before submitting your application to TUT.
The abbreviation for Admission Point Score is APS. In order to determine whether applicants are qualified for their programs, universities in South Africa use APS points. For APS, TUT makes use of a calculation that is unique to the university. Applicants can use it to calculate their scores.
To be considered for a particular program, applicants must have a minimum APS or fall within the testing band. In most cases, you will receive points for each matric topic for which you take an exam.
Add your top six subjects, excluding Life Orientation, to determine your APS.
Your grade in each subject determines how many points you earn for each course.
The total number of points you get from each course is what makes up your APS score.
Keep in mind that just meeting the minimum requirements might not be enough to get you into the degree program you want, so try to get the best grades you can.
