The start and end dates for the SU admissions cycle are listed below. Applications for the year 2024 are accepted from May to August.

Self-registration via the internet

• Our online registration portal allows for online registration for the majority of students, and doing so is encouraged.
  You can submit an application for the programs on this list.
  Through my.sun.ac.za, any computer with an internet connection can self-register.
  Students who do not have legitimate proofs of admission, such as matriculation exemption certificates, advice results, or post-matriculation proofs of admissibility, or who have not been readmitted to the university, will not be permitted to self-register.
  Please be aware that all students who registered in 2023 were automatically readmitted for 2024 as a result of an institutional decision that no student would be academically excluded in 2024.
  Who are the debtors who have unpaid fees on their university student accounts? If the student’s other requirements are met, the student account is paid in full, and the first registration payment is recorded by the Student Fees Division, the student can self-register.
