Dates for submitting applications for 2024 and 2025
- The University of Limpopo (UL) will accept applications online beginning on April 1 and running through November 30 of that year. Therefore, for the 2024 academic year, UL encourages prospective students to apply online via the application form (Hard-Copy) as soon as possible.

Entry Requirements
Matriculation Certificate (prior 2008)
- By changing their grade symbols to an APS, students who successfully completed 12th grade prior to 2008 can apply for admission to the university with the standard 12th grade Senior Certificate and receive full university exemption.
National Certificate (Vocational)
- Students who have successfully completed a National Certificate Vocational NC(V) Level 4 qualification will be subject to Faculty Admission Specifications and Placement Tests. These requirements include the following:
Certificate at NC(V) level 4 with three fundamental subjects at 60% (including Life Orientation) and four relevant vocational subjects at 70% for degree programs.
NC(V) level 4 certificate with three mandatory vocational subjects at 60% for diploma programs and three fundamental subjects at 50% (including Life Orientation).

The application forms that undergraduate applicants can use online or in person are also available to postgraduate applicants.
