Dates of Application Opening and Closing
- From July 1, 2023, to November 30, 2024, the Mangosuthu University of Technology Online Application for 2024 will be available. Consequently, Mpumalanga University encourages prospective students to submit their applications for the 2024 academic year via the application form (Hard-Copy) as soon as possible.
How to Check the Status of a MUT Application in 2024-2025
You can use the log-in information you received during the initial application process to check the status of your application after it has been submitted.
- To check your application status at MUT, please go to the MUT application status tracker page >> Visit https://www.cao.ac.za/. Then click ‘My Application‘ to track the status of your application.
- For verification, enter your personal information here.
To see where your application stands, simply enter the required information and click the next button.
In addition, you will be able to see which documents have been received and whether additional documents are needed to finish your application.
Your department will make a decision within the timeframes it has established. You will be notified via email when the Office of Admissions receives the department’s decision.
You can check the status of your application at any time by logging in to your MUT applicant portal.
Results of MUT Admission
A number of statuses associated with applicant applications and the evaluation process are shown in the MUT admission status. Your undergraduate admission decision status will also indicate whether it is Complete, Pending Review, Requires Action, Complete, Admitted, Cleared Provisional, Admission, Ineligible, Quota Filled, or Cancelled.
Please refer to the following definitions for a better understanding of the MUT admission statuses:
- Review pending: This indicates that the application has been received by the Mangosuthu University of Technology. The application must be reviewed before the required documents, if any, can be identified for completion. Candidates should check this page again for updates; Pending Review will remain the application status until an admission decision is made.
What’s Needed: indicates that the application is missing some components. Candidates ought to get back to their MUT online application device for refreshes on Unsettled Things.
Complete: demonstrates that all of the necessary components for the application have been received. Candidates can verify that items have been received by selecting the link to “show items attachment” and looking for “Completed Items.”
Admitted: confirms enrollment in the specified program. There may be conditional offers for admission.
Admission Provisional: Admission to a program is contingent on a faculty-specific rule. You are required to submit every item on your To-Do list for this program, in addition to any other requirements stipulated by your faculty.
Provisional Admission with Clearance: This status indicates that all faculty-specific admission requirements have been satisfied. The program’s final admission has now been confirmed.
Ineligible: This demonstrates that admission to the predefined program has been denied. The minimum criteria for consideration for admission have not been met.
Share Filled: This means that you can’t get into the program you want to. The application was not competitive, even though the minimum requirements for admission to the program were met.
Canceled: This tells us that the application has been dropped.
