For the upcoming academic year 2024, applications are currently being accepted by the university. Students who are interested can apply online here. The application form for North-West University as well as all of the required supporting documents must be submitted by the applicant. Preference and merit will be taken into account when weighing applications.

NWU Application Opening and Closing Dates

Please submit your application during the application cycle before the deadline to ensure that it is considered. Every year, applications are accepted from March 1 to September 30.

International applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of R 550.00 at the time of application (for online applications), but South African applicants can do so for free. Please deposit using the bank information provided below and upload the deposit slip along with the remaining required paperwork.

NWU Online Program Application Requirements

All new applicants must upload all required documentation, which frequently includes the following:

a copy of your academic transcript, such as your Senior Certificate, and, if applicable, a copy of your transcripts from your tertiary education (Internet copies will not be accepted).
International students should bring a copy of their ID or passport. If applicable, a copy of your marriage certificate or divorce decree. Sworn translations of documents in languages other than Afrikaans or English are required.

Consider the following prior to submitting an online application to North-West University:

You must have an email address in order to finish the application.
Applicants from South Africa will need to give an identification number. Foreign candidates will be required to provide the numbers of their passports.
Uploading your deposit slip and other required documents is required.
