At SPU, students can choose between housing that is owned by the university and housing that has been approved for their use.
A set of guidelines for managing and governing SPURes is available to all resident students. These are the rules for living there.
The development of a residential community that is always supportive of academic pursuits, intellectual engagement, as well as personal and social development, as well as our student’s well-being, are the primary motivations behind the rules.
It is expected of everyone who works or lives in one of the Sol Plaatje University residences to always act in accordance with these ideals. Students who will be living there are expected to accept these terms, and they are responsible for any potential violations.
During the summer and winter holidays, SPURes is closed.
After the final exam, students must leave their rooms for 48 hours.
