Rhodes is the only university in South Africa that is not located in a major city. It is one of the few universities that is focused on research. Undergraduate courses often include service-learning, in which students use their education to get involved in their communities through a variety of projects. If you are an international applicant for SA, you will need to have a valid study permit.
