Registration for students enrolling for the first time in 2024
- First-year students at Sol Plaatje University (SPU) will be able to register on-campus in 2024.
Important: Students who were unable to register between February 7 and February 11 can now register for the first time during the Late Registration Week, which runs from February 14 to February 18, 2024.
The strict COVID-19 health and safety regulations will be followed during registration, which will take place on Central Campus in the Applied Sciences Building C006, with the entrance on Bishops Avenue.
All first-year students are required to:
- If you need help with the registration process, go to the university. At the Applied Sciences Computer Labs C006 on the Central Campus, this will be done online.

Requirements for Admission
- Application Completed Official College Transcript
- Regular admission requires
* a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Academic probation requires a minimum GPA of 2.7.
- International students must take the TOEFL iBT.
A score of 90 is required.
Submit an Application for Undergraduate Programs

- Application Completed
- All college transcripts and/or official high school transcripts
If a transfer student has fewer than 72 transferable quarter credits or 60 transferable semester credits, they must submit an official high school transcript or diploma as proof of graduation. Regular admission requires a 2.3-grade point average.
* Academic probation requires a minimum GPA of 2.0.
- Recommended SAT or ACT score
* A placement test must be taken by students who do not have the required transfer credits or ACT/SAT scores.
- International students must take the TOEFL iBT.
* A score of 90 is required.
