St Augustine College of South Africa Online Application 2024-2025
The Catholic University of Southern Africa Trust later renamed the St. Augustine College of South Africa Trust, was established on February 18, 1997, by the Rt. Rev. Reginald ORSMOND, the Bishop of Johannesburg at the time, directed the process. In November 1997, a Segment 21 Organization was enlisted as a supplier of advanced education inside the Catholic Scholarly Custom (Organization Enrollment No 1997/020522/08). The company was given both “Public Benefit” and “Not-for-Profit” status (NPO: 043-665; PBO 130001525).
The proposed institution was given the name “St. Augustine,” a deliberate allusion to the African context: One of the continent’s earliest and greatest Christian scholars was St. Augustine of Hippo.
