- The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) has registered and accredited Tshwane North Technical and Vocational Education and Training College (TNC), a Tvet institution (DHET).
The College has also received accreditation to offer instruction and training, primarily in the FET band, from Umalusi and numerous Sector Education and Training Authorities (Seta’s) (NQF Level 2 to 4). The College has between 20 000 and 21 000 students and employs about 327 lecturers and support staff. - The college works to raise the standard of living for its students.
In partnership with the Locksmith Association of South Africa, Masterkey, and SASSETA, the College launched the Locksmith program at the Mamelodi Campus in October 2014.

Partnerships have been established between TUT, UNISA, GDE, the City of Tshwane, Bidvest, DTI, and other parastatals and institutions of higher learning. The most important thing to keep in mind is that institutions offer three-year vocational qualifications, so you don’t need to finish Grade 12 if you want to pursue a vocational path like Engineering Studies, Business Studies, or Utility Studies.
You only need to have completed Grade 9 to apply for this qualification, but Grade 11 or Grade 12 graduates would be better suited to pursue it.
