University of Fort Hare Online (UFH) Undergraduate Admissions Requirements
The requirements for UFH Undergraduate study are listed below.
To be admitted to degree programs, prospective students must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Applicants with a South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) must pass a minimum of four 20-credit NSC subjects with a rating of 4 (Adequate Achievement, 50-59%) or higher.
Matriculation endorsement is required for applicants with a South African Senior Certificate. Please see the Study Guide for more information on Undergraduate degree requirements. - All applications by learners under the age of 18 must include a Declaration by Parent/Guardian for Minor Applicants.
Postgraduate Entry Requirements at the University of Fort Hare (UFH)
- Prospective students should be aware that the admission requirements for postgraduate study vary by program. As a result, it is critical to consult the Faculty directly to determine what is required for the course or degree that you wish to pursue.
Entry Requirements for International Study at the University of Fort Hare (UFH)
Undergraduate Study
- Prospective Students with non-South African school-leaving certificates are required to obtain a matriculation exemption certificate. For more information on qualification evaluation, please visit the Matriculation Board’s website at www.hesa.org.za. Parent/Guardian Declaration for Minor All applications by learners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an applicant.
Postgraduate Study
- All prospective students with non-South African qualifications must have their credentials evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). For more information on qualification evaluation, please visit the SAQA website at www.saqa.org.za. It is the prospective student’s responsibility to submit all required documentation to SAQA.
