• International applicants are chosen based on academic merit and space availability. To determine their eligibility for admission to South African degree studies, non-South African school leavers must contact the South African Matriculation Board directly. • International applicants with two A-levels (‘A’ – ‘E’) and three O-level passes (‘A’, ‘B’, or ‘C’) or equivalent may be eligible for AEB or Cambridge exams exemption. Certain subject groupings, however, are also required. Passing O-levels alone is insufficient.
• Please keep in mind that admission requirements for Faculties may include subject, level, and performance (in O and A levels). Please bring your original documents to registration and arrange for official translations if necessary. International Students’ Requirements at UKZN

• To be eligible for a master’ degree, candidates must have completed a four-year Bachelor’s degree or a three-year degree plus a one-year full-time Honors degree in the relevant field. Before submitting an application to the University, all applicants should apply to the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) for a certificate of qualification evaluation.
