REQUIREMENTS FOR UKZN

Please remember to include the following documents (if applicable):

• A certified copy of your driver’s license or passport.
• A certified copy of your National Senior/Matric Certificate, O/A Levels, or other relevant school leaving qualification/certificate is required.
• If you are an international applicant, you must provide proof that you are eligible to study for a degree at a South African university (formerly known as HESA). Additional information can be found in the undergraduate prospectus.
• If you attended other colleges, certified copies of your degree certificate(s), academic record, and certificate of conduct are required.
• International applicants who do not speak English must demonstrate English proficiency.
• The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) assesses previous degrees from foreign universities (outside South Africa).
• If you are applying for a master’s or doctoral degree, you must submit a research proposal/proposed title for your dissertation.
• To study in South Africa as an international student, you must have a valid study visa.
• Before applying online, please ensure that you have read the requirements listed above.
• Before submitting your application, please ensure that you have all of the required HESA/SAQA documents.
• Please use the reference APPN when paying the application fee (followed by your student number).
• Please allow the system between 24 and 48 hours to process your payment.
