University of Pretoria Onderstepoort Campus From the North:

Take the N1 South freeway (towards Johannesburg).

Take the N4 West towards Rustenburg.

From the N4, take the Rosslyn/Pretoria North (R566) off-ramp. Turn towards Pretoria North.

At the first set of traffic lights, turn left onto the M35 (Onderstepoort/Soutpan).

Continue past the Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute to the second set of traffic lights, where you turn left into the grounds of the Onderstepoort Campus.

University of Pretoria Onderstepoort Campus From Johannesburg:

Take the N4 West towards Rustenburg.

University of Pretoria Onderstepoort Campus From OR Tambo International Airport:

Travel along the R21 freeway and follow the directions to Pretoria until you reach the N1 North freeway (Pretoria–Polokwane).

Take the N4 West towards Rustenburg.

From the N4, take the Rosslyn/Pretoria North (R566) off-ramp. Turn towards Pretoria North.

At the first set of traffic lights, turn left onto the M35 (Onderstepoort/Soutpan).

Continue past the Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute to the second set of traffic lights, where you turn left into the grounds of the Onderstepoort Campus.

University of Pretoria Onderstepoort Campus From the west (City Centre):

Travel along Francis Baard Street (previously Schoeman Street), direction east.

Turn left into Steve Biko Street (previously Beatrix Street).

Continue along Steve Biko Street for about 7,3 km and at the Wonderboom Junction, continue straight over the crossing where the road becomes Lavender Road (R101).

Keep left at the junction with Zambezi Drive and stay on Lavender Road (R101).

Turn left onto the R566.

Turn right onto the M35 (Onderstepoort/Soutpan).

Continue past the Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute to the second set of traffic lights, where you turn left into the grounds of the Onderstepoort Campus.

University of Pretoria Onderstepoort Campus From the Hatfield Campus:

Travel along Lynnwood Road, direction east, until you reach Jan Shoba Street (previously Duncan Street).

Turn left into Jan Shoba Street.

Turn left into Pretorius Street.

Turn right into Steve Biko Street (previously Beatrix Street).

Continue along Steve Biko Street for about 7,3 km and at the Wonderboom Junction, continue straight over the crossing where the road becomes Lavender Road (R101).

Keep left at the junction with Zambezi Drive, and stay on Lavender Road (R101).

Turn left onto the R566.

Turn right onto the M35 (Onderstepoort/Soutpan).

Summary on UP Online Application 2021-2022 for Applying students

Once you have made an initial enquiry and it has been established by the UP Online Call Centre that you are an eligible student, you will receive communication from the University of Pretoria. This communication will provide you with a link that will give you direct access to the University of Pretoria’s Online Study Application System. This link includes a unique token for your online study application that can only be used once. Copy and paste this link into your browser’s address line. The URL will open the landing page of the University of Pretoria’s online study application system.

You will be required to provide an email address to which the University can send communication. Please take care when providing your email address not to make typing errors. Note that there are four steps to complete and these steps must be done in sequential order so that the application is correctly started.

You will be required to capture personal and contact details, provide your previous tertiary education information, select your study choice, and upload a series of documents. You will need to have certain information ready, and have the supporting documents electronically available, without which you will not be able to complete your online application. You will only be able to submit your online application once you have:

–Completed the online study application form.

-Uploaded all the supporting documents in PDF format.

-Paid the application fee.
