Significant notes

Take note of the following

  • A declaration agreeing to follow the resident rules will be signed by each student. University housing is more of a privilege than a right; Residents are financially responsible for paying for a full term’s worth of housing, regardless of when they move in.
    In addition, residents are expected to use the rooms that have been given to them, or else the room will be given to another eligible student.

How to Apply for a Residence at UniZulu

A form is required of students as part of the UniZulu housing application.

Accommodation cancellation

It is discouraged to reschedule accommodations; Cancellations must be submitted in writing to the appropriate warden.

Visitors

When inviting guests, residents should keep the following in mind:

  • The residences are not accessible to visitors.
    If there are visitors, residents must obtain permission from their homes or security personnel.
    Residents who are found to be assisting visitors in entering the homes will be assessed the appropriate fee.
    To cause damage to university property is a serious crime.
    Residents are urged not to engage in vandalism because they will be liable for any necessary repairs or replacements.
    Breaks must be reported by residents to the sub-warden or a house committee member.
