How To Register UP Online
Please visit your Student Centre on the UP Portal as soon as possible to register.
Registration information
Any inquiries regarding registration must be directed to enquiries@online.up.ac.za.
Please note that you must renew your registration at the beginning of each module until you comply with all the requirements for the qualification. Should you fail to renew your registration at the beginning of each module, you will not be able to access the online material or have access to your lecturers/supervisor. Contract
Before a student will be able to register, a contract needs to be concluded between the student and the University of Pretoria. Students can access the contract online on the UP Portal, Student Centre, on the student portal. Students are requested to complete the contract online, submit, and then print and sign it. As soon as possible thereafter, the completed and signed contract must be uploaded on the UP Portal, Student Centre, under Upload Supporting Documentation, to the student portal. UP Online Starting Dates
-The start date is the date on which your first module will commence.
-The application deadline is 2 weeks before the start date.
-Registration opens 4 weeks before the session starts and closes one day before the module session commences.
-Payment deadline is 5 days after the module start date and if the payment is not received access to Blackboard/clickUP is revoked.
-Registration: You must register for each module before the registration deadline.

University of Pretoria Admission Requirements
The statutory minimum requirements for degree studies is a National Senior Certificate (NSC), with a minimum achievement level of 4 (50%–59%) in four recognized NSC 20-credit subjects from the designated subject list below:

Accounting, Agricultural Science, Business Studies, Consumer Studies, Dramatic Arts, Economics, Engineering Graphics and Design, Geography, History, Information Technology, Languages, Life Sciences, Mathematical Literacy, Mathematics, Music, Physical Science, Religion Studies, Visual Art
The NBT is compulsory for prospective students applying to the Faculties of Health Sciences and Veterinary Sciences. All other study programs are not compulsory but it is considered when looking at your application
University of Pretoria Admission Requirements Admission Point Score (APS)
The calculation of an Admission Point Score (APS) is based on a candidate’s achievement in any SIX recognized NSC 20-credit subjects (including subjects from the non-designated subject list, eg CAT, Tourism, Hospitality Studies and Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Technology, etc), by using the NSC seven-point rating scale.
Life Orientation is a 10-credit subject and may not be used for calculating the APS. Life Orientation is also not a faculty-specific subject requirement. University of Pretoria Admission Requirements

You will be required to provide an email address to which the University can send communication. Please take care when providing your email address not to make typing errors. Note that there are four steps to complete and these steps must be done in sequential order so that the application is correctly started.
You will be required to capture personal and contact details, provide your previous tertiary education information, select your study choice, and upload a series of documents. You will need to have certain information ready, and have the supporting documents electronically available, without which you will not be able to complete your online application.
