The listed below are very important in your registration and application process to the University of Pretoria. Read through
- You can apply for a UPOnline programme at any time of the year.
- Applicants should take that, UPOnline programmes have 6 start dates throughout the year.
- Applications must be sent at least 2 weeks before a start date. Any applications sent after this deadline will be considered for the subsequent start date.
- Applicant should complete only one online application per programme. Once you are admitted into the online programme, you will need to register for your first module. After completion of the first module, you will register for the second one, and so forth until you have successfully completed all the required modules.
- The relevant faculties/departments/schools will process the applications on an ongoing basis.
- Applications will not be processed for the upcoming intake after the Application deadline date.
- Requests from students to be deregistered from a module will only be processed until the Monday of Week 7.
UPOnline Starting Dates
- Short modules will be presented over 8 weeks. A 8 week module typically consists of 7 weeks of teaching and 1 week recess.
- Long modules will be presented over 16 weeks. A 16 week module typically consists of 14 weeks of teaching and 2 weeks recess.
- Start date is the date on which your module will commence.
- Payment deadline is the module start date. If payment is not received by the payment deadline, access to Blackboard/clickUP is revoked 5 days after the module start date.
- If proof of payment (POP) is not uploaded via the UP student portal by day 11 after the start of the module, students will be deregistered from the module.
- Registration: You must register for each module before the registration deadline.
- Registration opens 4 weeks before the session starts and closes one day before the module session commences.
