- The primary audience for the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) Prospectus is prospective undergraduate and graduate applicants. It includes a comprehensive list of requirements for studying that program as well as a guide for selecting the appropriate program of interest. Additionally, it contains comprehensive instructions on how to successfully apply to VUT.
Students from all over the country and 25 other nations attend the Vaal University of Technology in southern Gauteng. It is one of the largest technological universities in South Africa, enrolling approximately 20,000 students annually. The university is in a good position to make a significant contribution to the country, continent, and southern Gauteng region’s human capital development. Four campuses exist. VUT is close to major petrochemical, steel, engineering, telecommunications, and manufacturing companies in a highly industrialized area. Additionally, it is surrounded by low-income communities.
Dates of application opening and closing: 2024-2025
- From July 1, 2023, to November 30, 2024, the Vaal University of Technology Online Application for 2024 will be available. Consequently, we urge prospective students to submit their applications for the 2024 academic year via the application form (Hard-Copy) as soon as possible.
Prior to Applying
- You must possess an equivalent qualification or an NSC or NCV with a degree-granting endorsement (Bachelor’s degree).
You are eligible to enroll in the program if you meet all of the minimum admission requirements. Because each program has a limited number of spaces available, meeting the minimum admission requirements for your chosen or intended program of study does not guarantee admission.
You have a minimum level of four (or fifty percent) in the UFS language of your choice: Afrikaans or English (only applicable to specific programs).
You must pass certain high school subjects with a certain level of success to take a particular university module. Please refer to the faculty-specific admission requirements section for the required subjects and achievement levels for each program.
Documents Required for Application
- An active email address and a mobile phone number are required for South African applicants. Passport numbers will be required from foreign applicants.
- a copy of your academic credentials, such as a Senior Certificate. If you are a new applicant, please continue with your application. Certified copies of your identity/passport, Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate, Proof of Payment for Administration Fee, and all other relevant documents are required in addition to a non-refundable application fee of R100.00. - In the Reference column, please enter your Identity (ID) Number. Please refrain from making any additional payments with this account number.
VUT Online 2024-2025 Application Procedure
During the designated application period, all admissions applications must be submitted online.
- Go to https://ienabler.vut.ac.za/pls/prodi03/w99pkg.mi login to access the VUT Online Application Portal.
Make an application, sign up, update your personal information, get information about your education, and pay.
Go to the “Prospective Students” section and click the “New Application” link to apply, register, change personal information, get academic and other information, and pay.
Do you have a student ID already? Select “Yes” or “No.”
If you are returning to complete the application, select Yes or No.
Decide whether or not to accept the applicable terms and conditions after reading them.
Complete the required biographical and other details.
