• The prospectus for Walter Sisulu University (WSU) is a booklet that is given to potential students to get them to apply for admission.   On July 1, 2005, the former Border Technikon, Eastern Cape Technikon, and the University of Transkei merged to form Walter Sisulu University. This resulted in the establishment of Walter Sisulu University. The Higher Education Act of 1997, also known as Act No. 101 of 1997), WSU is categorized as a comprehensive institution in its amended form.
  WSU has established itself as a gateway university in an effort to broaden access to higher education. WSU offers students a wide range of academic options, articulation, and mobility across qualifications, including certificates, diplomas, degrees, and postgraduate studies, as a growing all-encompassing university.
  WSU covers approximately 1,000 square kilometers and is strategically situated in the Eastern Cape Province. It encompasses both urban and rural areas.
  It gives the university a place to talk to development agencies so that it can tailor its programs and research to the needs of the province, country, and local community.
